About the Role

This position is dedicated to providing students with meaningful learning activities and experiences in their core academic subject. The primary mission is to help every student fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. By enabling students to develop essential competencies and skills, the role ensures they are prepared to function successfully in society.

Day in the Life

As an educator, you will be the architect of a classroom environment conducive to learning, tailored to support the physical, social, and emotional development of your students. Your day involves developing and implementing lesson plans that reflect the district's curriculum while accommodating individual student differences and learning styles. You will collaborate closely with special education teachers to modify curricula according to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work with colleagues to define instructional goals.

Beyond the classroom, you will serve as a positive role model, managing student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and acting as a sponsor for extracurricular activities. You will also maintain open, professional communication with parents, students, and the community, while overseeing instructional aides and volunteers to ensure a cohesive learning experience.

Hiring Process

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and possess a valid Texas teaching certificate with the required endorsements or training for the assigned subject and level. The selection process prioritizes demonstrated competency in the core academic subject, knowledge of curriculum and instruction, and the ability to manage student behavior effectively. Experience in student teaching, an approved internship, or related work is required.

Our Culture & Commitment

We are committed to fostering a professional environment where educators can grow. Teachers are expected to participate in staff development activities to improve their skills and comply with all state, district, and school regulations. We value emotional control under stress and the ability to work prolonged or irregular hours to meet the needs of our students. Safety is paramount; all staff must follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures to protect students, equipment, and facilities.
