About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Business Teacher to join the faculty at Athol High School. This full-time (1.0 FTE) position serves students in grades 9–12 and is designed for an educator who is passionate about fostering critical thinking, financial literacy, communication, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving skills.
In this role, you will provide engaging instruction across a variety of business-related courses, including Introduction to Business, Personal Finance, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and Presentation, Marketing, Accounting, and Career Readiness. You will develop lessons aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, utilizing instructional technology and project-based learning strategies to create authentic learning experiences. Your classroom will be a space that promotes high expectations, student participation, and academic risk-taking, where you differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of every student.
Beyond the classroom, you will play a vital role in the school community by advising or co-advise student organizations related to business, leadership, or career readiness. You will also collaborate with colleagues in professional learning communities and maintain open lines of communication with students, families, and administrators to support student progress.
