About the Mission and Team
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) plans and executes United States Air Force programs in basic research, exploratory development, and advanced development. Delaware Nation Industries provides organizational support to the AFRL at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. This support ensures an effective Information Management concept and structure, fostering the timely deployment and optimal operation of Information Systems to support the AFRL mission.
About the Role
This position serves as a critical link in maintaining the laboratory's operational technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for the end-user support of Windows desktops, laptops, and tablets, ensuring that researchers and staff have the reliable tools they need to advance their work. The role involves installing and configuring Windows OS images, applications, and system tools, as well as deploying IT components to various user locations.
In this day-to-day capacity, you will troubleshoot general IT system issues and manage support tickets using systems like Remedy or ServiceNow. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges efficiently. While the focus is on Windows environments, experience with Linux and/or MacOS is considered a valuable asset.
Hiring Process
Candidates must possess an active Secret clearance (or higher) and an active Security+ certification (or 8570 equivalent) to proceed. The selection process prioritizes verified credentials and relevant experience to ensure immediate readiness for the mission-critical environment at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
