About the Role
We are seeking an Application / Server Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. In this capacity, you will be a vital member of the Global Network Operations and Security Center (GNOSC) Mission Support Team (MST).
You will be responsible for facets of a continuous 24/7 Global Network Operations Center, executing server and application duties in direct support of MDA events, exercises, and war games. Your day will involve communicating with the MDA GNOSC event team, managing Remedy Incident Tickets, and performing network, system, and cloud monitoring. You will serve as a key point of contact for incident management and escalation, ensuring that executive management and the Government customer receive full communication regarding status, plans, and actions. This role requires working the night shift to maintain operational continuity.

- check_circleManage COTS, GOTS, and developed software applications

- check_circleAdminister Linux and Windows environments including troubleshooting and patching
- check_circleLead troubleshooting efforts for matrix staff in dynamic scenarios
- check_circleInstall and configure IIS and web applications while applying DISA STIGs
- check_circlePerform post-event analysis and provide Lessons Learned inputs
Requirements

Nice to Have
Experience in metrics-based IT Operations and Maintenance. Experience with Remedy Ticketing System. Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Linux. Experience with complex application systems, PowerShell, RHEL, IIS, Apache, and Tomcat.
