About the Role
The Server-Lead at The Terraces of Phoenix plays a vital leadership role in our Health Center dining experience. Under general supervision, you will oversee the day-to-day work of the servers, ensuring a seamless flow of service for our residents. Your mission is to distribute and balance the workload among team members in accordance with established workflows, assuring timely accomplishment of assigned tasks while ensuring every team member has enough work to stay engaged.
In this position, you will serve as a bridge between the kitchen and the dining room. You will be responsible for training newly hired servers and providing oversight to hosts, hostesses, bussers, and food runners. Success in this role requires a deep knowledge of our menu, including the ability to describe 20 or more entrees in detail, explaining ingredients and cooking methods to residents. You will also handle guest complaints in a positive and professional manner, referring issues to supervisors as appropriate, while maintaining strict front-of-house and kitchen sanitation standards.
