The Healthcare Finance Data and AI team at Guidehouse translates complex healthcare data into measurable financial performance. We specialize in managed care contracting, bridging the gap between payer contract language and operational revenue cycle management. Our mission is to empower organizations with automated, accurate models that ensure reimbursement terms are correctly interpreted and adjudicated.
This position is dedicated to the art and science of contract modeling. You will serve as a critical link between technical data engineering and business strategy, learning to decode payer contracts (both commercial and government) and translating them into machine-readable logic. Your work will directly influence how our tools model reimbursement terms, ensuring that modeled rates and rules align perfectly with actual contract language and adjudication behavior.
In this role, you will partner with contracting, revenue integrity, and patient financial services teams to turn raw data into clear, executive-ready recommendations. You will own analytics workstreams, presenting findings that connect contract mechanics to key RCM KPIs such as denial rates, AR days, and net revenue. Beyond analysis, you will actively enhance our contract modeling tooling, proposing schema improvements and building robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest fee schedules and contract artifacts.
Candidates selected for this role will engage in a structured interview process designed to assess both technical proficiency and cultural fit. The process typically includes an initial screening to discuss background and role alignment, followed by a technical deep-dive focusing on SQL, Python, and data modeling scenarios. Subsequent rounds may involve system design discussions and team fit interviews to ensure you can effectively collaborate across cross-functional groups.

Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or SSIS. Understanding of payer/provider operations and payment methodologies, with experience in contract modeling or payment variance analytics. Experience with Agile practices and Git-based version control. Experience with regulatory reporting and transparency initiatives such as CMS price transparency or charge master reviews.

Education: Bachelor's degree is required.
