This opportunity is within the Division of Licensing at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The team manages critical partnerships and systems that support public safety and regulatory compliance across the state, including the Concealed Weapon Intake System (CWIS).
As a Government Operations Consultant II, you will serve as a key liaison between the Division and Florida tax collectors. Your primary mission is to support the Concealed Weapon Intake System partnership by coordinating with current and prospective tax collectors, interpreting statutes, and resolving complex inquiries. You will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the system by updating reciprocity information, reviewing reports, and ensuring accurate data flows between the department and its partners.
Your day-to-day involves providing customer assistance on department policies and programs, developing training materials, and delivering instruction to tax collectors in classroom or onsite settings. You will also manage the logistics of training manuals and supplies while ensuring all activities align with current Florida statutes and rules.
