This 3-month hybrid position in San Francisco serves as a critical hands-on execution role within the global finance function. The primary mission is to ensure the integrity of financial data and the accuracy of monthly consolidations for a massive portfolio, including a $140B derivatives book. Unlike traditional management tracks, this role demands a practitioner who actively builds Excel models, troubleshoots complex formulas, and personally executes FX revaluations rather than supervising others.
You will act as a subject matter expert in data governance, multi-entity structuring, and the consolidation process via Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Oracle Cloud/FCCS. The day-to-day involves performing monthly consolidations with strict SOX compliance, analyzing the effects of foreign exchange on the P&L and balance sheet, and assisting with entity mergers, dissolutions, and functional currency changes. As a cross-functional business partner, you will drive automation initiatives to optimize the month-end close and refine process narratives.
We are seeking a Senior Manager or VP-level professional intentionally pivoting to an individual contributor capacity. The ideal candidate possesses a "quality control" mindset, capable of identifying and correcting complex logic flaws in high-stakes datasets. You must demonstrate a history of personally automating global consolidation reports and leading system integrations or master data governance cleanups.
Preferred backgrounds include Big 4 audit or consolidation experience at multinational firms, where you were trained to identify discrepancies in complex data. This role is not for those who manage through others; it requires a deep technical proficiency in HFM, Oracle FCCS, and advanced Excel capabilities to handle high-volume, high-stakes financial data.
Please focus your application on demonstrating your hands-on execution capabilities. Ensure your documentation explicitly details your personal involvement in automating reports, refining processes, and performing FX revaluations. We are specifically looking for evidence that you have built the models and fixed the formulas yourself.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
