This 3-month hybrid position in San Francisco serves as a critical hands-on execution role within the global finance function. The primary mission is to ensure the integrity of financial reporting by managing the end-to-end consolidation process, maintaining master data governance, and analyzing complex foreign exchange impacts on the P&L and balance sheet.
Unlike traditional management tracks, this role is designed for a senior practitioner who is intentionally pivoting to an Individual Contributor capacity. The ideal candidate will maintain full ownership of execution, personally building Excel models, troubleshooting complex formulas, and automating global consolidation reports rather than managing others to do so. You will act as a cross-functional business partner, driving automation initiatives to optimize the month-end close and serving as a quality control gatekeeper for high-stakes financial data.
The scope of this role involves navigating a massive financial ecosystem, currently managing a $140B portfolio of derivatives. You will be expected to handle high-volume, high-stakes data, performing FX revaluations and intercompany eliminations with precision. The role requires deep expertise in the "pipes" of the financial system, specifically leading system integrations and master data governance cleanup within Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Oracle Cloud/FCCS. You will also assist in entity mergers, dissolutions, and changes in functional currency, ensuring strict SOX compliance throughout the consolidation lifecycle.
We are seeking a "hands-on" Senior Manager or VP pedigree candidate who thrives in execution. You possess a Big 4 audit or consolidation background (such as MUFG or Deloitte) and have a proven track record of personally refining process narratives and automating reports. You are a power user of Excel and a subject matter expert in data governance, multiple entity structuring, and the consolidation process. Your mindset is one of rigorous accountability; you are the person who identifies flawed logic in complex datasets and fixes it immediately.
Candidates must demonstrate evidence of execution in their application materials. Please provide documentation showing your personal involvement in automating global consolidation reports, refining process narratives, and performing FX revaluations. We are specifically looking for practitioners who have led system integrations or master data governance cleanup. If your experience is primarily limited to supervising these tasks or managing through others, this role is not the right fit.
