About the Role
This position focuses on the troubleshooting, service, and repair of stand-by generators ranging from 100 KW to 4000 KW. The role involves removing alternators from engines or disassembling already removed units to diagnose electrical failures. You will perform repairs and services on all makes and models of generator sets, handling inspections, component servicing, and wiring harnesses.
Day in the Life
Your work requires logical troubleshooting to identify the root cause of failures and determine corrective actions through the inspection of failed parts. You will communicate findings to customers in an accurate, factual manner while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders. Before reassembly, you must ensure the work scope is complete and the unit is fully operational. The role also involves writing clear and concise inspection and final reports.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, in-person position based in Jacksonville, FL. The role requires operating in a constant state of alertness and maintaining a safe manner at all times. You must be available for on-call weekend work. Relocation to Jacksonville is preferred for candidates not currently local.
