The General Maintenance Manager serves as the operational leader for a diverse portfolio of affordable housing multi-family properties and scattered sites across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the D.C. area. This role adopts a portfolio manager's approach, ensuring systematic, comprehensive, and consistent maintenance practices that deliver safe, clean, and orderly environments with excellent curb appeal.
You will be responsible for establishing and implementing a robust Preventive Maintenance program while managing the intersection of in-house and contract repair work. The position requires a deep commitment to sustainable practices and cost-effective solutions, ensuring the portfolio remains in optimum condition. Beyond technical oversight, you will act as a bridge between site staff, regional management, and ownership, fostering a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and mutual respect for both employees and residents.
