About the Role
As an Operations Supervisor at Kohl's, you will serve as the expert in store operational processes, leading associates to deliver excellent customer service and operational efficiency. This role is designed to teach, coach, and develop your team while ensuring consistent execution of all operational workflows. You will partner with the merchandising team to manage product placement and brand standards, ensuring the store runs smoothly from the stockroom to the sales floor.
Day in the Life
Your day involves executing sound operational processes, including freight unloading, receiving, and omni-channel fulfillment. You will maintain appropriate product levels on the sales floor by managing stockroom inventory and directing floor replenishment based on sell-through and seasonal changes. A key part of your responsibility is supporting the training of new hires, ensuring they are skilled in process best practices, inventory procedures, and the use of Kohl's tools and resources.
You will lead with integrity and foster an engaged, inclusive culture while exercising good judgment. As a leader on duty, you will monitor daily store activity, partner with Loss Prevention to prevent loss, and use key performance indicators (KPIs) to make informed business decisions. You will also be responsible for opening and closing the store, ensuring adherence to safety policies, and adjusting resources to meet customer needs and workload demands.
Hiring Process
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age with experience supervising teams and coaching associates to achieve daily goals. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. While two years of experience in retail or a similar industry is preferred, the role is open to those ready to grow within the company.
