As a Front Desk Agent, you serve as the welcoming face of our hotel, ensuring every guest experiences a seamless and memorable stay. You are responsible for delivering high-quality guest services, from the moment they arrive for registration to their final check-out. Your role is vital in maintaining our hospitality standards, where eye contact, a warm smile, and polite conversation set the tone for the entire guest experience.
Your day begins by preparing for a busy shift, reviewing room availability, and checking the selling status of the hotel using our yield management system. You will conduct pre-assignments for VIPs, repeat guests, and those with special requests, ensuring their needs are met before they even arrive. Throughout your shift, you will manage the front desk with confidence and professionalism, handling check-ins and check-outs while balancing the daily shift bank and verifying all cash, check, and credit card transactions.
Beyond the desk, you act as a local expert, knowledgeable about area services, attractions, and events to assist guests with concierge-style inquiries. You will also manage PBX operations, answer phone calls promptly, and handle mail and message services. Accuracy is key, as you will follow established key control policies, credit policies, and fire and emergency procedures. By coordinating with other departments, you ensure that all hotel services are aligned to provide the best in guest satisfaction.
