Position Overview
FedEx Freight is seeking a dedicated Dock Worker to transport freight across the dock area, ensuring efficient loading and unloading of trailers. This role is critical to maintaining the flow of goods and supporting our commitment to reliable logistics services.
About the Role
In this fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, you will perform freight handling using a variety of motorized and manual equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Your day will involve verifying that documentation matches freight descriptions, securing cargo inside trailers with appropriate tools, and managing damaged freight when necessary. You will also assist customers with freight inquiries and documentation as needed.
The position requires physical stamina and adaptability. You will be working in a dock environment with exposure to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, dust, and noise. The role demands the ability to lift and carry varying weights, bend, twist, and squat throughout the shift, and work both independently and as part of a team. Hours may vary to meet operational needs, with shifts typically running from 05:00 to 09:30 or 17:00 to 20:30.

Requirements
