As a Forklift Operator at Americold, you play a critical role in the safe and accurate movement of food products throughout our facility. You will be responsible for the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods, ensuring that every item is handled with precision and care. This position is essential to maintaining our production standards and keeping our supply chain moving efficiently.
Your day will involve operating a variety of equipment, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, straddle trucks, and RF scanners. You will efficiently load and unload freight, stack and store merchandise, and assemble orders for shipment. A key part of your responsibility is ensuring the integrity of the products by checking freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation before labeling, sorting, and packing.
You will work in a dynamic environment that includes controlled temperatures ranging from 32°F to -45°F, as well as outdoor conditions. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods (up to 5 hours) and lift boxes weighing between 10 and 70 lbs. You must also be comfortable working in spaces with limited headroom and accessing elevated products up to 30 feet high.
Candidates with a high school diploma or GED and at least three months of related work experience are encouraged to apply. Flexibility is key, as the role may require overtime, evenings, or weekends to complete work or attend meetings.

The Company's good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this position is $23.10 hourly.
