As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products. Operating within a facility that maintains strict temperature controls ranging from 32°F to -45°F, you will ensure the integrity of goods while navigating a dynamic environment that includes both indoor cold storage and outdoor ambient conditions.
Your work involves efficiently loading and unloading freight using a variety of equipment, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, straddle trucks, and RF scanners. You will be responsible for stacking and storing merchandise, picking and assembling orders, and inspecting freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation. Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment is essential as you meet production standards and adhere to OSHA safety guidelines.
The role requires physical stamina and adaptability. You may spend up to 5 hours standing to rebuild pallets, lift boxes weighing between 10 and 70 lbs., and work in spaces with limited headroom. Flexibility is key, as you may be required to work overtime, evenings, or weekends to meet deadlines and attend meetings.
Candidates with a high school diploma or GED and at least three months of related experience are encouraged to apply. We value individuals who can work independently, pay close attention to detail, and demonstrate reliable attendance.
