About the Role
The Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor serves as a pivotal leader within our Food Production Plant, responsible for planning and directing activities that develop, apply, and maintain rigorous quality standards for our industrial processes, materials, and products. This role exists to ensure the highest levels of safety and quality compliance while driving operational efficiency.
In this position, you will manage the inspection, testing, and evaluation protocols that safeguard our production output. You will oversee the precision and accuracy of our production and analytical equipment, ensuring all facilities meet strict regulatory benchmarks. A key part of your day involves directing teams engaged in measuring and testing products, analyzing data to resolve work problems, and coordinating with other supervisors to align departmental activities.
You will also play a critical role in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. This includes managing the Material Review Area to ensure timely distribution of products, implementing changes to increase shop safety and efficiency, and collaborating with the internal Trainer to develop necessary training programs. Your leadership will be essential in motivating workers to achieve work goals while maintaining accurate time and production records.
Compliance & Safety Standards
Safety and quality are at the core of this role. You are expected to report all safety incidents within your area of responsibility and actively encourage a safe working environment for all team members. Strict adherence to BRC, HACCP, and GMP policies and procedures is required, along with full compliance with FDA and USDA regulations. Additionally, you will ensure that all hygiene, environmental, health, and safety requirements are met in line with company policy and regulatory standards.
