As the Food & Beverage Manager, you will serve as a pivotal leader within Allen Marine's unique hospitality ecosystem, operating across both our tour vessels and the lodge. This multifaceted position is designed to ensure exceptional product quality and deliver a seamless, elevated experience for our guests. You will work in close collaboration with the Director of Food and Beverage and the Executive Chef to develop effective menus, wine lists, and cocktail programs that reflect the beauty of Alaska.
Your primary objective is to create and maintain a profitable, executable food and beverage program that sets us positively apart from the competition. You will be visible in the operation, fostering a culture of excellence while adhering to the strategic plan set forth by leadership. This role requires the ability to work independently, managing daily operations, staff training, and inventory with a passion for service recovery and guest satisfaction.
We are guided by Alaska Native cultural values, striving to deliver world-class experiences safely and sustainably. Our core values include humility, respect for all people and nature, and the strength to hold each other up. We prioritize safety first, ensuring secure and enjoyable experiences for both our guests and team members.
We are committed to being a world-class place of employment that values hard work, mentorship, and ownership. Our dedication extends to our community; we actively partner with neighbors across Alaska to support local businesses and create meaningful social and economic opportunities. Integrity drives every decision we make, and we deeply celebrate our Alaska Native heritage, fostering intergenerational connections and cultural richness.
This is a dynamic role within a fast-paced environment that demands adaptability. You will navigate moderate to loud noise levels, all weather conditions, and varying temperatures, often wearing required protective clothing such as raingear and life preservers. The work involves standing for long periods, moving across uneven deck surfaces, and managing both kitchen and front-of-house environments. While the schedule is flexible to include weekends and holidays during the tour season, the atmosphere is one of collaboration, laughter, and unwavering dedication to excellence.
Candidates must possess a valid US driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a security background check and DOT drug test. Pre-employment screening and enrollment in a random drug testing program are required by the Coast Guard. Please ensure you have or can obtain current certifications for Alaska Training for Alcohol Professionals (TAP), Alaska Food Handlers, and CPR/First Aid.
We invite you to bring your passion for excellence and your commitment to our core values to our team. If you are ready to contribute to a culture of curiosity, innovation, and community collaboration, we encourage you to apply.
