This position serves as a critical link in sustaining mission-essential feeding operations. You will manage dining facility storeroom operations and inventory with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Your day will involve forecasting needs, placing orders, receiving goods, and issuing subsistence to production staff, all while adhering to Tri-Service Food Code requirements.
Beyond daily logistics, you will maintain security and sanitation standards, manage inventory pars to prevent waste, and ensure proper rotation of products. A key component of this role is training military members in all facets of storeroom management and automated systems. You will also participate in joint bi-monthly inventories with USAF personnel and collaborate closely with the Executive Chef, Dining Facility Manager, and Food Service Accountant to ensure operational integrity and financial accuracy.
