Apogee Solutions, a Woman-Owned Small Business, is seeking a Field Consultant based in Honolulu, HI, to support the Department of Defense Military OneSource program throughout the state of Hawaii. This role is critical to the program's mission of providing service members and their families with unlimited 24/7 access to information, referrals, and counseling services both stateside and internationally.
As a Field Consultant, you will serve as the bridge between the Military OneSource program and the communities you serve. Your work will focus on increasing awareness of available resources, facilitating access to critical support systems, and identifying unmet needs within the region. By engaging with local stakeholders and coordinating with military and civilian organizations, you will help the program maintain visibility into regional conditions and adapt services to better support Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve families.
In this field-based role, you will operate independently to support assigned geographic regions. Your day-to-day activities will involve conducting targeted outreach to reach service members and families, particularly those in geographically dispersed or underserved locations. You will tailor your engagement strategies based on regional demographics and specific mission requirements.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to building and maintaining professional relationships with resource providers, community organizations, and third-party programs. You will collaborate to build coalitions that connect federal, state, and local resources to military families. Additionally, you will support various community events to raise awareness of services ranging from relocation assistance and financial management to deployment support and transition assistance.
You will also play a key role in capacity building by identifying gaps in current services and determining methods to fill them in collaboration with the DoD, State Joint Force HQ, and civilian community partners. The role requires documenting all activities, interactions, and community data accurately to support program reporting and visibility.
Qualified candidates must be a US Citizen able to pass a comprehensive background check, including an FBI fingerprint check and a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI). This position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least four years of prior military experience (Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserve) or relevant civilian experience with a deep understanding of military services and family support programs.
Candidates must possess strong business acumen, professional judgment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications. The role involves regional travel to support program requirements within Hawaii and the ability to operate effectively in a field environment.
