About the Role
Apogee Solutions, a Woman-Owned Small Business, is seeking a Field Consultant to support the Department of Defense Military OneSource program throughout Southern California. This role is based in San Diego, CA, and serves as a vital bridge between the Military OneSource program and the communities it supports.
The Military OneSource program provides service members and their families with unlimited 24/7 access to information, referrals, and counseling services. As a Field Consultant, you will drive program objectives by increasing awareness of these available services, facilitating access to critical resources, and identifying unmet needs within the communities you serve. Your work will involve deep engagement with local stakeholders to ensure the program maintains visibility into regional conditions and can adapt its services to better support participants.
In this field-based position, you will operate independently to support assigned geographic regions. Your day-to-day activities will include conducting targeted outreach to reach service members and families, particularly those in geographically dispersed, remote, or underserved locations. You will tailor your efforts based on regional demographics and mission requirements, establishing professional relationships with resource providers and community organizations. By collaborating with third-party programs and building coalitions, you will connect Federal, state, and local resources to Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve families. Additionally, you will support unit and family staff through briefings, training, and the documentation of activities to ensure accurate reporting and program visibility.
