Field Consultant

About the Role

Apogee Solutions, a Woman-Owned Small Business, is seeking a Field Consultant to support the Department of Defense Military OneSource program throughout North Carolina. Based in Sanford, this role is critical to ensuring service members and their families have unlimited 24/7 access to information, referrals, and counseling services both stateside and internationally.

The Field Consultant serves as the bridge between the Military OneSource program and the communities they serve. The position exists to increase awareness of available resources, facilitate access to critical support systems, and identify unmet needs within the region. Through targeted outreach, engagement with local stakeholders, and coordination with community partners, the Field Consultant enables the program to maintain visibility into regional conditions and adapt services to better support participants.

In this field-based capacity, you will operate independently to support assigned geographic regions. Your day-to-day involves conducting targeted outreach to reach service members and families, particularly those in geographically dispersed, remote, or underserved locations. You will tailor efforts based on regional demographics and mission requirements, establishing professional relationships with resource providers and community organizations. A key part of the role involves collaborating with third-party programs to build coalitions that connect Federal, state, and local resources to Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve families.

You will also support a wide array of community events and initiatives, including relocation assistance, family counseling, financial management, deployment support, and transition assistance. By documenting activities and interactions accurately, you will ensure program visibility and support reporting requirements. This role requires strong business acumen, professional judgment, and the ability to facilitate collaboration between military and civilian agencies to improve service coordination.
