The property features 28 buildings dedicated to teaching, research, agriculture, athletics, recreation, and residential use. This unique environment serves as a hub for student engagement, faculty research, and community interaction, requiring a dedicated team to maintain its safety, functionality, and ecological integrity.
The Farm Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Worker 1 is a vital member of the team responsible for the day-to-day stewardship of this diverse property. Working under moderate supervision, you will serve as the first line of defense in preserving the Farm's infrastructure and natural landscapes. Your day will be a dynamic mix of hands-on groundskeeping, facility repairs, and event support.
You will operate a variety of farm tractors, mowers, and specialized equipment to maintain wooded areas, trails, fields, and recreational sites. Beyond landscaping, you will perform essential building maintenance, from routine HVAC and plumbing checks to coordinating larger repair projects with contractors. The role also involves supporting the Farm's educational mission by assisting student interns, volunteers, and visiting groups, ensuring the property remains a welcoming and safe space for all.
