About the Role
This position serves as a vital support to the Family Store Manager, ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of both the retail floor and warehouse areas. You will be the face of The Salvation Army for our customers, guiding them through their shopping experience while maintaining the high standards of organization and service that define our mission.
In this role, you will actively participate in daily operations, from supervising cashier activities and managing cash accountability to training new employees on proper procedures. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of customer service, inventory management, and team leadership. You will assist customers in locating items, explaining store policies, and facilitating donations, ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and supported.
You will also play a key role in visual merchandising, arranging and rotating displays to keep the store neat, orderly, and attractive. Additionally, you will help determine appropriate pricing strategies to ensure quick stock turnover while maintaining fair value for the organization. As needed, you will assume the full responsibilities of the Family Store Manager, stepping up to lead the team and manage operations seamlessly.
