As a key member of our store team, you will be the face of Walgreens, modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Your primary mission is to ensure every interaction leaves a positive impression, from the moment a customer enters the store to their final purchase.
You will serve as the first point of contact, greeting customers with courtesy and efficiency while providing assistance with products and services. This role goes beyond simple transactions; you will engage with customers to resolve issues, answer questions, and recommend items that meet their needs. By sharing best practices with the team, you help cultivate a culture of proactive service, ensuring that every shopper feels valued and supported.
Your day involves a dynamic mix of customer service and operational excellence. You will manage the cash register, processing sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy and speed. Beyond the register, you will maintain the store's visual appeal by keeping counters and shelves clean, well-merchandised, and fully stocked. This includes constructing displays, managing inventory, and ensuring proper product placement, such as separating raw and pre-cooked foods according to safety policies.
You will also handle specialized tasks like photo services, digital passport photos, and web pick-up responsibilities, ensuring orders are filled and delivered promptly. Additionally, you play a vital role in asset protection and compliance, adhering to all company policies and local laws regarding regulated products. Whether assisting with exterior maintenance or completing special assignments, your attention to detail keeps the store running smoothly.
To join our team, candidates must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. While six months of retail experience and prior Walgreens work history are preferred, we are committed to training and developing our team members through required training sessions and PPLs assigned by management.
Walgreens is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and veterans. We consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. We foster a respectful environment where all team members maintain positive relationships with one another, regardless of background.
