About the Role
As a Cashier at Walgreens, you are the face of our brand, responsible for modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. You will be the first point of contact for shoppers, engaging them with courtesy and efficiency while ensuring their needs are met from the moment they enter the store.
Your day-to-day involves more than just processing transactions. You will greet customers, offer assistance with products and services, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience. You will share best practices with the team, demonstrating key service traits such as proactive help, identifying needs, and servicing until satisfaction. From managing the cash register to handling photo services and web pick-up orders, you play a vital role in keeping our operations smooth and our shelves well-merchandised.
Hiring Process
We are looking for candidates who are willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours. While prior retail experience is preferred, we are committed to providing the training necessary for you to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleRegister sales on assigned cash register and process voids, returns, and exchanges
- check_circleEngage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services

- check_circleRecommend items for sale and suggest trade-up or companion items to customers
- check_circleKeep counters and shelves clean, well merchandised, and maintain inventory records
- check_circleConstruct and maintain displays including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
- check_circleAssist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies
- check_circleProvide customer service in the photo area including digital passport and print services
- check_circleImplement company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
- check_circleAssist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly store condition
- check_circleEnsure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco
- check_circleMonitor web pick-up orders, fill them, and deliver orders to customers at the store
Requirements

Six months of experience in a retail environment. Prior work experience with Walgreens.
