Founded in 1894, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is a premier settlement house on the East Side of Manhattan. We provide an extensive array of integrated social, educational, health, housing, mental health, nutritional, and fitness services to 16,000 people annually, ranging in age from 3 to 103. Our clients include older adults, unhoused and formerly unhoused individuals, children and families, persons with disabilities, and adult learners.
Our Early Childhood Center is a model program and lab school dedicated to providing the highest quality educational, developmental, and social services to 147 low-income preschoolers and their families, all eligible for Head Start. Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), we set the standard for comprehensive services in early childhood education.
Our holistic approach prepares children for success in elementary school and life through a seamless, age-appropriate curriculum that strengthens language, literacy, motor, social, emotional, and cognitive development. This includes integrated Family Services and unique components such as art, music, movement, swimming, and farm-to-table food, reflecting our broader settlement house mission.
We are seeking a Family Services Associate to join our dedicated Family Services Team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our educational program and the families we serve. You will coordinate comprehensive social services and supports for children and their families, guiding them from intake and assessment through the transition to kindergarten.
In this position, you will act as a primary point of contact, developing and encouraging family goal setting while conducting home visits and providing in-class supports. You will collaborate closely with teaching teams to facilitate family-focused support groups and represent the organization to community partners, providers, and funders. The role also involves year-long outreach and recruitment, ensuring that all participating families have access to comprehensive services through strong relationships with key stakeholders.
At Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, we value respect, diversity, and integrity. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to affording equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
