Founded in 1988, Urban Peak is the only non-profit organization in Denver providing a full convergence of services for youth ages 12 through 24 experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Our mission is to meet youth where they are, offering the assistance and support needed to achieve self-sufficiency or access the necessary services to exit life on the streets.
We operate a 136-bed shelter, daytime drop-in services, supportive housing, and comprehensive case management. Our programs are founded on the principles of trauma-informed care and Positive Youth Development, creating a safe community for all youth regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, class, educational background, sexual orientation, gender identity, or ability status.
