Founded in 1894, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is a premier settlement house on the East Side of Manhattan. We provide an extensive array of integrated social, educational, health, housing, and nutritional services to 16,000 people annually, ranging in age from 3 to 103. Our clients include older adults, unhoused and formerly unhoused individuals, children and families, and persons with disabilities.
Our Early Childhood Center is a model program and lab school dedicated to providing the highest quality educational, developmental, and social services to 147 low-income preschoolers and their families, all eligible for Head Start. Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), we set the standard for comprehensive services in early childhood education.
Our holistic approach prepares children for success in elementary school and life through a seamless, age-appropriate curriculum that strengthens language, literacy, motor, social, emotional, and cognitive development. This includes integrated Family Services and unique components such as art, music, movement, swimming, and farm-to-table food.
We are seeking a Family Services Associate to join our dedicated Family Services Team. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between our program and the families we serve, ensuring they receive comprehensive support from intake through the transition to kindergarten. You will work collaboratively with teaching teams, social workers, and community partners to facilitate family-focused support groups and drive program-wide initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of young children and their families in a high-achieving, fast-paced environment.
