This position serves as a critical support pillar for our facilities, providing comprehensive equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC maintenance, repair, and support to assigned service calls. The role is designed to ensure operational continuity while upholding our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
You will drive independently to various store locations daily, acting as the primary point of contact for facility maintenance needs. Your day involves a dynamic mix of preventive maintenance tasks, system repairs, and troubleshooting complex electronic control interfaces. You will perform component replacements, including compressors and large motors, while maintaining accurate inventory records of parts.
Communication is key; you will orally instruct store personnel on proper equipment usage to prevent repeat calls and manage overtime situations. Additionally, you will utilize the company email system for correspondence and ensure all repair, labor, and parts documentation is completed timely and accurately. The role requires operating service vehicles, powered industrial trucks, and aerial lifts safely, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of assigned company vehicles.
This position demands a high aptitude for physical endurance. You will be expected to stand and walk for extended periods, sit while driving between locations, and perform tasks such as lifting and carrying up to 70 pounds, pushing and pulling, climbing ladders, bending, squatting, and kneeling. The work environment varies, requiring the ability to work in different temperatures both inside and outside the store.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years of proven refrigeration/HVAC experience, and EPA Type 2 Certification. Familiarity with reading engineering drawings, manuals, and schematics, along with supervisory experience, is highly valued.
We are committed to fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background and ensure all essential functions of this position can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
