At ExxonMobil, our vision is to lead in energy innovations that advance modern living and a net-zero future. As one of the world's largest publicly traded energy and chemical companies, we are powered by a unique and diverse workforce fueled by the pride in what we do and what we stand for. The success of our Upstream, Product Solutions, and Low Carbon Solutions businesses is the result of the talent, curiosity, and drive of our people. We invite you to bring your ideas to ExxonMobil to help create sustainable solutions that improve quality of life and meet society's evolving needs.

About Houston

ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions, and Low Carbon Solutions businesses. The facility, which opened in 2014, accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors. Located in Spring, Texas, on 385 wooded acres immediately west of Interstate Highway 45, the campus is approximately 25 miles from the cultural vibrancy of downtown Houston.

By bringing many global functional groups together, the campus provides employees with the tools and capabilities needed today and in the future to achieve business objectives. It was designed to foster improved collaboration, creativity, and innovation and enhance the company's ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent. The campus was constructed to the highest standards of energy efficiency and environmental stewardship, incorporating extensive research into best practices in building and workplace design.

The Role

ExxonMobil is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to provide Wells Engineering technical expertise for its oil and gas development projects. As a Wells Engineer, you will collaborate with a multi-functional team to design, plan, and execute all wellwork operations in compliance with internal and external standards. Your work will encompass drilling, completions, and well management, including drillouts, remedial workovers, and plug and abandonment activities.

You will play a pivotal role in developing operational programs, optimizing wellwork designs for multi-well programs, and providing advanced technical support to improve well designs and operational plans. This role involves comprehensive risk management, mentoring less experienced engineers, and performing modeling and analyses to support effective execution. You will also steward well cost lifecycles, support procurement activities, and manage multiple contractor interfaces to ensure timely delivery of equipment and services.

Business needs and your specific areas of expertise will drive your placement on a specific Wells team, whether an asset team or a specific discipline. There are many options available for Wells Engineer roles, including work on the Houston campus with business trips to field sites, rotations, or relocations (domestic and international) as required by specific job roles.

Our Commitment to You

An ExxonMobil career is designed to last. Our commitment to you runs deep: our employees grow personally and professionally, with benefits built on our core categories of health, security, finance, and life. We offer a pension plan with automatic enrollment, a savings plan with company matching, workplace flexibility programs, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, and a culture of health with resources to support wellbeing.

Equal Opportunity
