About the Role
As a Pastry Cook 1 at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our bakery outlets. This position is designed to ensure the exceptional delivery of all bakery menu items, from timing and quality to temperature, portion, and presentation. You will work closely with Leads and Chefs to execute specific recipes for all resort restaurant outlets and banquets, while also assisting with special allergy requests.
In this role, you will perform a variety of pastry techniques including scaling, mixing, proofing, baking, decorating, and finishing. You will be responsible for preparing, decorating, and plating all bakery items to meet our high resort and restaurant standards. Occasionally, you may assist in creating and decorating wedding cakes and custom amenities. You will also interpret BEOs (Banquet Event Orders), private dining, and restaurant orders to ensure seamless production.
Beyond the kitchen, you may be required to communicate with Guests on stage to explain cooking techniques or answer questions. You will also conduct promotional cooking demonstrations and, when needed, write and price custom menus for banquet events. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a team that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, delivering magical experiences to our guests.

Requirements
