About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Underwriter or AVP, Underwriter Director - Wrap Ups to join our team in Chicago, with flexibility to hire from any Zurich Midwest regional office or remote locations within the Midwest US. This role serves as a Subject Matter Expert for complex domestic Wrap Up accounts, managing both new business and renewals.
In this position, you will act as a strategic partner to the organization, fully applying and honing your underwriting and marketing skills. You will build and nurture relationships with Select Brokers focused in the Midwest, serving as a
Help Point
for agents, brokers, and customers. Your day-to-day involves proactively seeking growth opportunities, conducting detailed opportunity assessments, and making prepared calls to distributors and customers to determine their insurance needs and provide tailored solutions. You will also collaborate with Line of Business representatives on referrals and may provide guidance to lower-level associates, ensuring the team maintains a strong sales culture while adhering to underwriting rules, insurance laws, and rating guidelines.
The position will be filled at either the Executive Underwriter or AVP, Underwriter Director level, with the final determination made by the Hiring Manager based on your specific experience and skill set relative to the role's qualifications.
