Our accounting team operates in a fast-paced environment, managing the financial backbone of large-scale infrastructure projects. As a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, you will join a group that values precision and efficiency, ensuring that our complex construction operations are supported by accurate and timely financial processing.

About the Role

This position serves as a lead function within the Accounts Payable department, going beyond standard processing to handle complex tasks such as final approval of credit card transactions, vendor onboarding, and monthly reconciliations. You will act as a key support to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, potentially guiding or reviewing the work of team members.

The ideal candidate brings senior-level A/P experience with a specific focus on construction accounting. Your day will involve reviewing and matching invoices, lien waivers, and releases of liens to ensure payment accuracy and timing. You will serve as the final reviewer for AMEX and Comdata credit card transactions, ensuring proper coding to department budgets, and manage employee receivables for personal charges on corporate cards.

Beyond transactional duties, you will oversee the setup of new vendors, collecting and verifying documentation in compliance with GAAP. You will also assist with audits by preparing and organizing required documentation, ensuring strict adherence to accounting standards and internal controls. This role requires a high level of organization and accuracy to maintain the integrity of our financial reporting.
