The Executive Sous Chef serves as a critical partner to the Executive Chef, working directly with and in the absence of the Executive Chef to maintain and improve culinary operations. This role is designed for a leader who monitors daily functions of the culinary and stewarding departments, providing support and guidance to teams to ensure a positive guest experience.
You will act as the liaison between the culinary division and all other hotel departments, supervising Sous Chefs and leading the team toward exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction. The position involves managing hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, training, and coaching, while ensuring food production, ordering, and quality adhere to Hyatt brand standards and financial controls.
Hyatt is committed to strong promotion from within. We develop Executive Sous Chefs to progress into the role of Executive Chef through targeted training in Banquets, Restaurants, and Garde Manger.
