The Sous Chef at Eddie Merlot's is an active member of the restaurant leadership team, dedicated to implementing the company's mission and vision by directing and maintaining a safe, profitable, and high-quality kitchen operation. This role serves as a vital partner to the Executive Chef and leadership teams across locations, ensuring that every meal, banquet, and special event meets Eddie Merlot's standards for outstanding freshness, quality, consistency, and guest service.
In this position, you will lead, coach, and teach the kitchen and food production team, fostering a cohesive environment of appreciation and recognition. Your day-to-day involves directing food production activities, managing line levels against forecasted sales, and conducting rigorous quality checks to ensure proper hold temperatures, portion sizes, and flavor profiles. Beyond the kitchen, you will partner with dining room managers to enhance the dining experience through tableside visits and serve as a professional representative of the company within the community.
