The EHS Manager serves as the primary leader for driving a safe working environment across Schreiber's assigned locations. This role is dedicated to protecting all partners, customers, visitors, and contractors by implementing robust environmental and safety programs. Success in this position requires coordinating with Federal, State, and local regulations while fostering a culture where "safety comes first" is a shared value among the team.
Working closely with plant leadership, the EHS Manager oversees the strategic implementation of safety and environmental initiatives. A key component of the day-to-day involves managing all safety and environmental training, ensuring that adult learning techniques are effectively applied to both hourly and salary partners. The role demands a proactive approach to developing and utilizing diverse learning tools, from vendor-led classroom sessions to e-learning modules, while continuously measuring the success of these training methods.
