We've made a lot of progress since opening our doors in 1942, but one thing has never changed: our commitment to serve, heal, lead, educate, and innovate. We believe that every award earned, every record broken, and every patient helped is the result of the dedicated employees who fill our hallways. At Ochsner, whether you work directly with patients every day or support those who do, you are making a difference, and that matters.
This position is designed for individuals ready to make a tangible impact on patient care through precise laboratory science. You will be the backbone of diagnostic accuracy, receiving and preparing specimens according to standard protocols and performing the laboratory tests and calculations essential for the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Your work ensures that clinicians have the reliable data they need to make critical decisions.
In this role, you will perform quality control procedures, evaluate test performance, and calibrate, maintain, and monitor the equipment used in analytical determinations. You will also perform phlebotomy procedures as appropriate and maintain strict confidentiality of all patient-related information. Success in this position requires the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, including the use of computer skills for data entry, effective communication with varying levels of the patient care team, and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
