The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Technician is a pivotal role designed to protect our employees and the environment while ensuring strict regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will exercise independent judgment to perform fundamental compliance functions across OSHA, NFPA, and other health and safety programs.
In this position, you will serve as a safety leader, coordinating CPR/First-Aid AED teams, spill teams, and confined space teams. Your day-to-day involves administering training to new hires, tracking incident metrics, and participating in root cause investigations to develop corrective actions. You will also assist the Environmental Manager with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Stormwater, and Air compliance programs. This role requires you to recognize and report process deviations, assist in diagnosing safety and quality problems, and develop standard operating procedures for life safety programs.
