The Employee Relations (ER) Partner is responsible for building strong relationships between employees and managers through a proactive, strategic approach. You will identify higher-level employee relations trends, recommend solutions that address root causes, and partner with leadership on execution. Acting as a neutral key partner to site-level managers, you will drive employee relations strategies while maintaining the ER function at assigned locations.
You will work directly with leaders, managers, and employees to provide advice and coaching on all employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary processes, legal matters, investigations, and conflict management. Your goal is to ensure a fair and consistent approach to Medtronic's policies, promoting a positive culture while minimizing risk. As a single point of contact, you will utilize skill, tact, persuasion, and negotiation to resolve matters efficiently.
This role requires close collaboration with the in-house legal team, Human Resources Business Partners, and the wider HR community to deliver a consistent ER service that aligns with business needs. You will analyze trends in employment practices, recommend proactive actions, and facilitate the prompt resolution of workplace conflicts using techniques such as mediation and conflict coaching.

This US-based role is located in Boulder, CO, with travel to and support for Parker, CO, and Louisville, CO. The position is on-site and requires flexibility to support a 24x5 operation.

Experience with Service Now Case Management Platform. Experience providing partnership with all levels of employees and leaders up to Director level leaders. Experience in leveraging data/metrics to identify trends and proactively address. Demonstrated knowledge of ER procedures and processes. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Human Resources Management or related field. Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates strength in systems thinking. Solid dispute resolution, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated excellence in organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to solve problems and multi-task. Demonstrated strengths in listening, fact-finding, and exploratory skills. Ability to uncover additional information. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, as well as maintenance of confidentiality.
