About the Role

The Employee Labor Relations Specialist serves as a vital resource for front-line supervisors and Human Resources Business Partners, addressing employee relations and engagement concerns. This role is designed to support the company's business goals by providing expert advice, implementing HR projects, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. You will act as a primary point of contact for resolving employee relations issues, offering guidance on management, performance, corrective actions, and conflict resolution. The position requires analyzing workplace trends to recommend proactive engagement and risk mitigation strategies, while also training front-line supervisors on these topics.

Hiring Process & Application

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburgh, PA, with a hybrid work model (2 days in-office, 3 days remote). The anticipated application deadline is June 2, 2026. Requirements

  • verified5+ years in Employee Relations
  • verifiedBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related field
  • verified7-10+ years of progressive experience in employee relations, labor relations, HR, or employment law environments
  • verifiedMaster's degree or HR certification preferred
  • verifiedExperience in a unionized workforce, including grievance administration and collective bargaining
  • verifiedStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and labor regulations
  • verifiedProficiency with HRIS systems, case management tools, and Microsoft Suite

Nice to Have

Experience in a non-union facility with a labor background. Master's degree or HR certification.
