About the Role
As an Executive Store Manager, you will serve as the primary leader for the store's daily operations, working in close partnership with the Store Manager to drive company deliverables. This role is designed for a high-performing leader who is ready to assume full store responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence and is actively preparing for future advancement into a Store Manager position.
You will be the face of the store for both customers and team members. Your day involves engaging with patients and shoppers to resolve complaints, model best practices, and ensure a positive experience. You will lead a diverse team through recruitment, coaching, and performance management, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous development. From managing complex inventory and cash operations to ensuring strict compliance with safety and legal regulations, you will oversee every aspect of the pharmacy and retail environment.
This position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and offers the opportunity to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets within the hiring area. Success in this role is a key step toward promotion, potentially requiring relocation to a different store location.
Hiring Process
Candidates selected for this role will be expected to complete the Store Manager learning and development program (LEAP) or Walgreens Leadership Essentials training within 12 weeks of their start date. The process includes a commitment to continuous self-development, maintaining a valid pharmacy technician license where required, and actively participating in the interview and hiring process for future team members.
