As an Executive Store Manager (ESM), you will serve as the primary leader for the store's daily operations, stepping in to manage all activities when the Store Manager is absent. This role is designed to support the Store Manager in achieving company deliverables while maintaining a seamless workflow with minimal schedule overlap. You will act as a strategic partner, leveraging data and team insights to drive sales, profitability, and operational excellence across both the front end and pharmacy.
Your day-to-day involves more than just supervision; you will be the face of the store for customers and patients, ensuring every interaction is positive and resolves issues effectively. You will empower your team to exceed customer expectations, manage complex inventory and cash control systems, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Candidates for this role are expected to complete the Store Manager learning and development program (LEAP) or Walgreens Leadership Essentials training within 12 weeks of their start date. Successful candidates will also obtain and maintain a valid pharmacy technician license as required by their state.

This role requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekends. Additionally, candidates must be open to accepting a promotion to Store Manager, which may involve relocation, and be willing to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets within the hiring area.
