About the Team
The ELM (Engineering, Logistics, and Maintenance) team oversees the transfer of assets—including Material Handling Equipment (MHE), Base Build, and Emerging Technology—to the Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) teams. We work closely with Project Delivery Teams across Customer Fulfillment, Amazon Transportation Systems, Amazon Logistics, and Amazon Grocery Logistics.
Supporting regions globally from North America to the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, our mission is to deliver a seamless, efficient building experience from the RME perspective, starting from the moment a project launches. We focus on key objectives like minimizing downtime, increasing equipment availability, and ensuring technician readiness. By aligning people, processes, and resources, we aim to create a "perfect" building experience where maintenance accessibility is optimized and spare parts are available at the right cost.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLead and develop a team of Amazon Associates to ensure safety and quality standards
- check_circleCommunicate policies to associates and maintain compliance with corrective actions
- check_circleDevelop performance goals to achieve customer promise expectations and accuracy
- check_circleSupport safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment
- check_circleExecute site-level launch delivery from requirements through commissioning and validation
- check_circleCoordinate cross-functional activities with vendors and engineering teams to remove barriers
- check_circleTrack and report on launch readiness metrics including staffing and equipment commissioning
- check_circleMaintain and drive project trackers to ensure milestones and commitments are met
Requirements
- verified5+ years industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer experience
- verified3+ years maintenance or engineering experience
- verified3+ years refrigeration industry experience
- verifiedBachelor's degree
- verifiedExperience in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments
- verifiedExperience leading cross-functional teams through launch readiness and go-live phases
- verifiedWork a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
Nice to Have
1+ years of commercial CO2 refrigeration applications experience; Refrigeration Trade School certificate; Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level; Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs for commercial refrigeration systems; Knowledge of performance metrics such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, throughput, or quality; Experience working with and managing third party vendors; Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing; Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques; Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences; Experience in Amazon RME (Reliability Maintenance Engineering) or fulfillment operations, or experience in similar environments; Experience with retrofits, launches, or automation deployments; Experience building launch readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple concurrent sites
