The ELM (Engineering, Logistics, and Maintenance) team oversees the transfer of assets—including Material Handling Equipment (MHE), base build infrastructure, and emerging technologies—to the Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) teams. We work closely with Project Delivery Teams across Customer Fulfillment, Amazon Transportation Systems, Amazon Logistics, and Amazon Grocery Logistics.
Supporting regions globally from North America and Europe to Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, and engaging with India and Japan for standardization, our mission is to deliver a seamless, efficient building experience from the RME perspective, starting from the moment a project launches. We focus on key objectives such as minimizing downtime, increasing equipment availability, ensuring technician readiness, and achieving perfect maintenance accessibility. Our goal is to align people, processes, and resources to create a "perfect" building experience.
As an Operations Engineer, you will be the engine behind site-level launch delivery. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, designed for those ready to manage tactical launch activities from RME requirements through commissioning and post-launch validation. You will own site-level launch trackers end-to-end, ensuring every milestone, owner, and commitment date is accurate, visible, and actioned on time.
Your day will involve reviewing trackers to identify overdue milestones, participating in daily or weekly stand-ups to confirm task ownership, and updating project trackers with the latest status from Field RME and Operations partners. When risks emerge, you will document them clearly and escalate them with proposed solutions. You will coordinate cross-functional activities with vendors, Learning & Development (L&D), and spare parts teams to keep site launches on track. Additionally, you will prepare site-level inputs for Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) and support post-launch assessments to document lessons learned and implement corrective actions for future outcomes.
