The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services. These include building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.

About the Role

This position is at the experienced (journeyman) level. The employee performs a full range of electrician assignments using independent judgment to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations. You will work in concert with other Electricians and trades to perform maintenance, construction, and remodeling projects on state properties as required.

The role involves using a wide range of power tools and equipment appropriate to the work. A key component of this position is providing customer service with courtesy, respect, and attention to detail. You will work cooperatively with staff to assure a customer service-oriented environment, expressing a positive and helpful outcome to projects and during daily interactions with tenants.

Additional Information

This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000. Up to $1,500 is paid upon new hire, with the remainder paid after satisfactory completion of the initial 12-month probationary period. This bonus does not apply to current state employees.
