The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
This position offers two levels based on your licensure: Electrician Licensed E9 (Journeyman) or Electrician Master Licensed E10. At the E9 level, you will perform a full range of electrician assignments using independent judgment to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations. At the E10 level, you will obtain permits, perform electrical work as required by law, and utilize considerable independent judgment in making decisions without the availability of supervision.
In either capacity, you will work in concert with other electricians and trades to perform maintenance, construction, and remodeling projects on state properties. You will utilize a wide range of power tools and equipment appropriate to the work. A key part of your day involves providing customer service with courtesy, respect, and attention to detail, ensuring a positive and helpful outcome during daily interactions with tenants and while working cooperatively with staff.

This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $5,000. Up to $1,500 is paid upon new hire, with the remainder paid after satisfactory completion of the initial 12-month probationary period. This bonus does not apply to current state employees.
