The Education Specialist joins a professional team dedicated to community education, driving two critical initiatives. The first focuses on engaging men and boys as allies in the prevention of violence against women and girls through the "Not My City" program. The second addresses the co-occurrence of domestic violence and substance use, developing strategies to prevent both issues simultaneously.
This position serves as a vital bridge between Hubbard House and the community. The Education Specialist facilitates curriculum, collaborates with internal and external partners, and actively participates in community engagements. Beyond facilitation, the role supports the creation of educational materials, multimedia assets, and evaluative tools.
As a representative of Hubbard House, the specialist maintains high professional standards while ensuring accessibility for all community members, including those who are Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing or require translation services. The role demands a clear communicator with a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
This is a full-time, in-person position that is not eligible for remote work. The role may require evening and Saturday hours to attend community events and facilitate curriculum. A valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and maintained vehicle insurance are required to fulfill these duties.
Candidates must successfully clear a rigorous background screening, including a Level-2 check (DCF, FDLE, National Sex Offender Registry), a motor vehicle report (MVR), and drug, alcohol, and TB screenings. Proof of eligibility to work in the United States (E-Verify) is mandatory.
