GTSC supports the NOAA Education Council and Inter- and Intra-Agency Education Coordination. This role is critical for representing 16 Line Offices across NOAA, ensuring robust monitoring and evaluation of the agency's education programs. The position is contingent upon the award of a specific contract.
As an Education Program Evaluation Specialist (IV), you will lead the development, implementation, and customization of a database solution designed to collect, access, and report performance data for education programs across the entire Agency. You will serve as an expert advisor, guiding NOAA education programs on performance-based management practices and developing materials for education operations, including electronic media and distant learning technologies.
Additionally, you will represent NOAA and the Department of Commerce (DOC) in inter-agency STEM efforts, specifically focusing on the evaluation and assessment of NOAA's education programs. Your work will involve portfolio analysis of diverse offerings, including grants, educator professional development, and educational outreach, while implementing best practices in the evaluation of formal and informal science education.
