The Residential Driver is the face of our waste removal services, dedicated to safely, efficiently, and courteously serving our community. This role is essential for maintaining clean neighborhoods and ensuring the reliable collection of solid waste and recyclables from curbside and backdoor locations. As a driver, you will operate specialized collection vehicles to transport materials to post-collection facilities while upholding the highest standards of safety and customer service.
Your day begins with thorough pre-trip safety inspections and documentation to ensure the vehicle is ready for the route. You will navigate residential areas, maneuvering large trucks into tight spaces and operating hydraulic systems to compact waste. Throughout the shift, you will interact with customers, maintaining a professional demeanor and identifying prohibited items to ensure compliance with safety regulations. The role requires physical stamina to handle various weather conditions and equipment, as well as the ability to coordinate with helpers and supervisors to optimize routing efficiency.
